Life is too short to worry about wearing the right outfit
| | | Opsal Building < on 11/23/2005 4:06 PM >
| | | The other night I was walking around the Opsal building on 4th(?) and Quebec... it's a few blocks from my studio. I know who manages it, but I can't use SE to get in this time as I did that with their other property. Anyhow- it seems as though there might be some relatively easy means to get inside- some panels seem to be missing along the alley. As this might be my first actual forray into UE I'm just wondering if anyone has been watching the building... I've been scooping it out off and on for as long as I've lived in Van and the alley seems to have changed a bit... evidence of other people maybe having gone inside it and those entrances being blocked up not- so- well (nothing like the Wreck Beach buildings... which I've also scoped out a few times). I'll be checking it out again a few times over the next week or so to see if anything changes. ~M

| | | I hope you have good luck, the last time I drove by that place was a few months ago, the original co. that was in there was the Columbia Block And Tackle Co.

Is it candy ?
It requires wisdom to understand wisdom: the music is nothing if the audience is deaf. |

There were motion sensors in there about 4 years ago. We got in through a window in the back (alley side), and were nearly in the middle of the room before it was triggered. We had a good exit plan, so everything worked out. I think it was just some security guards that showed up. Just so you know...
