No.

Locations are communal creations -- although one person may have started the location entry, once this is done it becomes part of the UER community and any member may add photos, add or modify the information, and otherwise contribute. No one person "owns" a location.

In extraordinary cases, where only the original creator has posted information, a moderator may elect to delete a location entry on the request of the creator.

However, the creator may at any time delete the photos he has posted, as these are his own photos. I would recommend against this, as you'll also be deleting comments posted by other people on those photos.

As AV stated, you can only delete your locations if you contributed information to your LDB entry. I have quite a few in queue for deletion where I removed information and photographs pertaining to them, for instance. I removed them because they essentially duplicated information found on my web-site and I did not want to consume AV's bandwidth as a result.

You can also remove a full country, if you ask nicely enough.

Chris...

We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit.

so I just created a location and was then told the location was already listed as a different name (hence the reason I missed it). I need to delete the duplicate post, but see no options to do so. How do I go about it?

the duplicate location: http://www.uer.ca/...ow.asp?locid=24057

thanks to anyone that can help!

I don't see anything resembling Candler Mansion in Atlanta at all. If anything, you've got the right name and whichever one is already there is wrong.

We hide our secrets down here. Haven't you ever read Faulkner?

I doubt that will work... Maybe we should rename it?

How about.... Scrobville?
