The inside is a bit better, but not by much. The gutted building shows signs of disrepair with its concrete walls, loose electrical wires, exposed steel girders and trusses, rusted stairwells and bird droppings throughout the first and second levels. Despite the shabbiness, members of a Lyric Theatre Task Force that toured the facility yesterday said they were pleasantly surprised at how well the inside has held up after sitting vacant since 1963.
