I wanna use this post to show some of the smaller explorations from my "UE-LITE" folder some of which may be more on the nature side but either way may hold interest to some of you..

Atkisson Dam

The Atkisson dam creates the Atkisson reservoir in Harford Co. Maryland. Located inside Harford Glen park which I believe is owned by the Army but they have no presence there.

The Dam is cool for a relaxing hike/explore. For those of you that like drains and dark wet places there is a spillway tunnel or something on the western side of the dam (picture in the last 2 photos).

Above Ground Mine

On the harford/baltimore county line on harford road you will find a pull off located in gunpowder state park. This spot used to be popular for an animal rendering plant where animals were ground into dog-food type products. The plant has been torn down but nearby is the site of an old above ground mine.

The man made cliffs are a good 100'+ tall id think. At the base of the cliffs you will fine piles of rock, debris, old water tanks, holes and small caves, etc... Scattered around the woods you will find misc concrete structures and foundations

Havre De Grace Train Bridge

This train bridge in Havre De Grace has a neat web of steel, stairs & catwalks. There is chain-link fence around the entrace to the stairways but they are still easily acessible.

For anyone that wants to explore/climb id suggest doing at night and watch out for the fast moving trains, these arent freight trains

Awesome. Thanks Dan. Keep turning up good stuff. Maryland is going to double when you hit full member.

Hmmmmm, I like tunnels. Is there other stuff around it? I.e. whats the chance that it goes anywhere substantial? (Possibly under the dam?)

I had nothing to offer anybody except my own confusion.

My guess would be that it goes in than straight up to the grate you can see on top in the 3rd photo. I had my waders on that day but no light so I didnt go in.

UE-Lite. I like that. I've always wondered what to call my explorations that ended up being more nature shots of concrete ruins than of an actual abandonment.

You should trade-mark that before I do
