A house off the interstate in Milledgeville.

View from the road

This house has seen better days.

15 foot drop out this door...

I like my plant growth

The Kitchen Ceiling

There's a neat watch next to that coke can....

Walking down this hallway is inadvisable

Also, some houses that are being demolished as I type.

house 1

Outside shot

The living room

The bedroom/kitchen

More bedroom... in particular, I like the (former) mirror.

Another bedroom?

House 2

Back porch...

Nothing like diet books, condoms, and school handbooks....

The health book is current to 2005... the house was abandoned 2003.

House 3 - Artifacts Galore

Each bedroom had one of these mirrors.

The floors were, um, soft.

An older couple lived here with their mentally disabled son. They were very religious, and we found numerous religious pictures and church fliers.

There is an identical painting on teh floor directly below this one.

Deconstruction is already well started outside

Yes, it works.

No, it doesn't work. Alas.

The back bedroom had lots of suitcases and clothes tossed into it, and had a rather sour smell.

Very interesting, especially the last one. Religious items are always of interest. In an old building in Macon we found a huge poster of Mary, half buried with leaves and covered with mud. It made for some interesting photos.

Hey I live in Milledgeville!! I haven't been on in a while is the reason for this late post. I go to school at GC&SU. If you are in the area again, we should meet up. Have you been to the abandoned motel yet on the main strip?

I'm sorta up at GCSU as well. Rather, I attended, took a year off, and am coming back next semester.

As for the motel, it's been on my agenda for weeks. There's actually a possibiity I might be visiting it very shortly. I'll be in touch before we go.
