| | Turn Off Event Notifications < on 10/31/2005 3:45 AM >
| | | Event Notifications. Is there any way to turn these off? Or at least disable them from acting as a new PM? I know theres a little message at the bottom of each saying click here to never see this event again. The problem is that this is only event specific and I just end up with new ones every week. And please, where is this feature in the profile to turn Event Notifications off. Because I have looked long and hard, and it is nowhere to be found. Its almost like getting spam on UER, and becoming really freakin' annoying. [last edit 10/31/2005 3:45 AM by tnarduzzi - edited 1 times]

| | | To turn it off, simply delete the information about where you are in the "Requested Information" section. Some of us are interested in learning about what's going on around us, and don't consider it spam to know about events that happen.

| | | Sorry, It not that I'm entirely not interested. Its just that they appear with such frequency and with no way to turn them off. Maybe spam was a little harsh. But thanks for the solution.

| | | Damnit, I can't win in this situation... lol. No that I've erased my location from 'Toronto, ON, Canada' I now get greeted with a new banner on every page: "UER.ca MEMBERS: Please Fill Out Your Profile!". 45216.jpg (19 kb, 761x265) Urgh. Guess I'll just have to live with it, thanks anyway.
