I went a year ago. On the top 3 list of hardest to get inside undetected. Coincidentally, on my top 3 for lamest hospitals too, funny huh?

The grounds were patrolled by cops(UVA, city and state police). It is not 24 hour patrols, but expect them to be there for at least 20 min for any given hour.

I tried during the day and there was just no way I was going to get near the place. So I waited for dusk, I parked at a church about a mile away and walked in via the woods, got muddy and dirty as all hell climbing up incredibly steep hills, it was really a huge pain in the ass. Once I git the grounds, I followed the tree line to a safe spot and ran from tree to tree to avoid detection. I saw a cop driving to wards the exit so i walked to the main building and it was sealed really good, but I found a way in that was not overly hard to find.

Once inside, I covered the whole building and took less than 20 shots. The architecture was boring and institutional & there was nothing left behind. I would say give this place a miss...

The risk greatly outweighs the payoff here.

It's still the best aboveground site in Charlottesville, easily.

damn may that place was a miss...but you get a fucking A for effort...

Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time.

Last time I went (which was about 3 years ago) there were still TONS of files left behind in the houses, the garages and on one floor of the Wright Pavillion...

I guess they finally paid all those ex-patients respect and moved them??
