No.

Drains, sure. But no buildings.

GMU is sealed up good. I spent a couple of weeks there and tunnel access is difficult, roofing is a possibility.

I don't know Fairfax too well... I'm not a fan of urban sprawl.

If you've got a car, head towards Baltimore. Plenty of fun there.

Nothing in Northern VA but mexicans and bad drivers.

America... just a nation of two hundred million used car salesmen with all the money we need to buy guns and no qualms about killing anybody else in the world who tries to make us uncomfortable.

I was not implying that there was anything wrong with Mexicans, just that there are ALOT of them around here, no one can deny that. There's too many of all kinds of people in Northern VA; white latino, asian, whatever. Overpopulation blows. Anyways, I apologize if I offended anyone, that was not my intent. I should have broadened the term to first generation immigrants.

thats cool. just watch word usage.
its like when all these kids say"oh thats gay" or "your a fag"
its rediculous to say that, and then say you have no problem w/ gay people. becasue you give gay a negative connotation, and yet try to say that you support gays.
sorry for the tangent...its one of my "things"

peace

I agree with you totally, but this is just a text conversation so it's hard to always get your point across since you're limited to just letters.

Mason doesn't really have any exploring you can do there, besides outside work. I wouldn't do it even if there were good places on campus, there's got to be a million feds there.

However, there's always the old train tracks (Bunnyman Bridge, Newington Road..heck you find abandoned stuff on the along the VRE tracks), Lorton, supposedly an abandoned mini-golf/batting cage (still haven't checked it out), and I'm sure there's a few industrial parks in Springfield/Lorton area. Plus, you could always metro-hop to anywhere in Fairfax County or DC/Maryland for $5. As long as your not out pass 2 AM.

Plus, there's gots to be stuff in Old Towne Alexandria.

BTW, if you hear about an abandoned airfield in Springfield...its not really abandoned.

yea we were at the airfield last night... half of it is still and active base

the part the hanger is on is no longer active... its a huge ass hanger not much to it though... there are huge climbing ropes hanging from the ceiling they make for a cool picture... also back a little bit there is an aquatics training center (aka a big cement poolish thing)... if you are looking for a nice hike through some of the only remaining woods in springfield its not a bad place just be smart and dont try and sneak onto the base

Where there is a tiny hole that no one else wants to squeeze into... ill be there.

Where there is a tiny hole that no one else wants to squeeze into... ill be there.

There is Lorton Prison right down 123 before the bridge to Woodbridge. There is a security jeep for Wackenhut that drives around, they usually just park at the farm house on Lorton Rd. You can enter from different places, usually parking over by the new high school and going in that way, or if you park in a neighborhood past that you can walk through the woods. This requires a fence to jump, but not that bad of thing. Watch out for Wackenhut though, my three adventures in have had no run ins, except last time once we were out they were in there with another truck, probably for showing it for filming or something.

While I haven't done any exploring since I was in high school, there are a ton of drains to explore. There are several decent ones along the W&OD bike trail between Bon Air Park and East Falls Church station.

Some of our favorite stomping growns were behind the Nothern Virginia Hospice in the park. Nothing mind blowing, but we liked it when we were younger.

What I'd really like to see is some of the ones in DC as I've been inspired by a lot of books I've been reading regarding the tunnels below NYC... Unfortunatly, even if I could find some good tunnels in DC I'd probably either get mugged by a hobo or shipped off to Guantanamo.

Shipped off to Guantanamo... or stuck in a combined system!

DC doesn't have drains. Some of the 'burbs in NW do, but the city is primarily a combined system - everything goes into one pipe. Poop and tampons... not my style.
