i have to say, i never really thought how tough you guys have it, i became a mod on a board back in july, lately its gotten pretty busy and was forced to lock my first thread yesterday, it had strayed so far off topic some guy was talking about the warts on his balls. Just remember its a sports forum...anyways, the attacks came in left right and center, i used to think you guys had it easy i was wrong, keep up the hard work and you guys deserve medals, the forum im moderating doesnt nearly have the traffic you guys deal with

I worked a fair bit with www.jackinworld.com, and as an op in several of the largest theme-related chatrooms such as the HUGE #gayteens on DALnet (and a couple on EFnet) back in the day... Modding and Opping are fun, and fairly routine, but there's always that 1-2% that boil your blood.

Between July and now you only had to lock one thread ? WOW. Since April of last year on the board I mod I have made 414 moderations. Thats locking threads, deleting posts, moving posts and warning people.

This isn't boot camp and you are not a ninja. But you sure look like an idiot in that outfit.

nostra-YOUPPI! yeah, you'd be surprised how bad some people have been over the years here over virtually nothing. Which always gets me, as I'm a member at various other forums, and one of them people get virtually no warnings on anything. People are banned without a warning for seemingly minimal things like posting something in the wrong section!

and while we're here talking about the *fun* of being a mod and the disrespect you get...

Seicer. If you're going to quote something I say in your sig, you had best be using it in context. What you have posted is not in the context of what was said. I said that you clearly disrespect the mods any chance you get. This taking my words out of context and putting them in your sig like that is yet another show of this.

well i have to say you guys are pretty liberal in letting us post what we want, but i got slammed for a post about batting averages some guy was talking about lumps on his balls, so in re directing the thread he got crazy!

It's a parody of what you stated in your private messages. I did one of Crossfire for a while, and I have done numerous others of various people in the past. It's not an "insult" of UER or a mod, it's my way of saying how seriously some people take this site. It's quite funny.

It's still taking something someone said out of context. Also, I believe it was also something said in a private message. That sort of stuff really should be kept private.

Good to know that you respect the privacy of what is said in private messages so seriously. You bitch and insinuate that the mods would violate PM privacy but you're happy to post parts of private messages (out of context).

Hypocrite.

Or do you want me to PM that to you ?

Dude, say something if you're going to link to a forum like that. I clicked on it, and it showed up on our internet history. I know how to empty the history files and delete records from the registry with regedit.exe, but if I hadn't known that I'd have had a lot of explaining to do with my parents . . .

but if I hadn't known that I'd have had a lot of explaining to do with my parents .

It's a perfectly healthy website for men who want to learn more about masturbation. There's nothing wrong or dirty or pornographic about that. It's natural, and more men need to pay more attention to what God gave 'em. People are too embarassed and puritan these days - it's not right.

Masturbation may be wonderful, but I still wouldn't want to have to explain anything to my parents (I don't live with them)...and I'm 25.

Yeah, but these are parents we are talking about here. You can't explain why you were caught masturbating to Paris Hilton (or insert any other girl, she was just on my mind since... um, I was watching... television). Hell, the time my parents gave me the speech, I told them "I knew everything about it from school." You should have seen their faces.

Well, maybe it's because I'm 32. I don't see the issue. However, that's not to say it's not okay for people to be uneasy about it. Live and let live.

Bizzy, I would wonder why your parents would be asking you anyways....

But anyways, I know moderating and what not is somewhat hard to do. I have a friend who works for Delta Air Lines as a gate agent and gets flack from customers like blaming them for the bad weather (like thats their fault anyways). He for a while was a mod for this one fourm on DSLReports.com and well it occured to him that you have to be annoyed by the same type of people at both jobs.

All I can say is try being a mod on the boards at http://www.xbiz.com (NOT safe for work!) - they were a bunch of animals, let me tell you... Adult webmasters are not the best behaved people in the world.
