What's the craziest thing you ever did in an abandoned place?

I don't know if there is already a topic on this,if so,just delete it!

One of the craziest thing I ever did in an abandoned place is making a snowman at 4 o'clock in the morning on the roof of an abandoned malting factory(the biggest malt plant in the world).
You probably think : "why are you making a snowman on a roof at 4 o'clock?"
Well,I was bored, and it was the first and only time we had snow in belgium that year, and I was doing some night shots so why not having fun for a while??...
The funny thing is,it's one of the highest buildings in the city so you could see that snowman standing there from 10 blocks away.(although he wasn't that big)

Here is a pic of my "impressive" snowman, his name was john btw ;)

Repelling down a climbing rope down a steep incline to gain access to a large underground system.

...and by repelling I mean awkwardly slide....
...and by climbing rope I mean a large coil of docking rope found at an old factory...
...and by steep inclide I mean sixty foot cement wall...
...and by underground system I mean drain...

Either that or climbing sixteen flights of stairs minus the stair treads, just landings and railings, at night with a backpack full of gear.

WOOT!

note: I mispelled woot eight times in this attempt.

<reuben> somebody keeps jiggling the doorknob on my front door, then running away
<reuben> i don't know if i should call the police, or hook up some electricity to the doorknob
<cristobal> why don't you put ice on the stairs <cristobal> and heat up the door knob <cristobal> and swing paint buckets down from your two story foyer <cristobal> then a few years later, fade from the public eye.....

^^ I want to go there next time you guys go.

I must be a really boring person. I've got to spice up my UE excursions a bit so I have some interesting stories to tell.

I can definitely tell you that it's a rush. I've tripped at The Pines Hotel (Fallsburg, NY) twice and at Letchworth Village (Stony Point, NY) once. The day I was at Letchworth, I was alone, and also made sure not to bring a flashlight. I played a game with myself, taking a quick flash photo, looking past the camera's viewfinder, and trying to see if I could make a mental map that would let me go from one dark place to another. The days I were at The Pines Hotel were another story entirely.

Colours, LINKS, images, etc are not allowed, text and LINKS only. Emphasis mine.

Ummm... I built a large campfire while camping at an abandoned TNT factory.

Nothing exploded though, so i guess that's not too crazy.

I slept in an abandoned parking garage I was exploring one time, for lack of anywhere better to go.

Not really crazy, but. That's pretty much the craziest thing I've done.

Took a very narrow (think three within 4 inches on both sides) and rough section of an ATV trail en route to an isolated site in a company vehicle.

I also entered an abandoned factory once, with everything still in it,no vandalism, broken glass etc...After a while,we heard some noise of a machine, then we realized that that factory wasn't abandoned :s
strange thing is,there were no workers around! only working machines.

run away from the owner

"We finished to take pictures and were ready to leave when suddently, we hear voices under us. We knew it was the owner because earlier we saw him in the courtyard talking to potential buyers, (they want to sell the plant for 5 million dollars.)We fel silent listening to them talking, they were in the administrative section. We knew they werent going to come up but we all had a suddent adrenaline rush. we stayed there for about one minute and we hear the footsteps coming up the stairs were we were at the moment we all dash to the other side of the plant to go down the diamond metal stairs. It's pretty hard to run withought making noise with all the rubble at that place, trust me.

Nel58, since she knows the place so well, brings us down into the basement and makes us go trough this dark tunnel. it leads us to the bottom of the same stairs that the landlord is climbing. Trying not to make noise going through the debris we had to ssslllooowww our walk and it was killing my thighs, we head to the administrative part and dash to the exit withought our flashlights on, having them on would attract attention.

While walking Janifour accidentally steps on something wrapped up in garbage bags that supposively felt like a dead body that has been dumped not too long ago. We finally head out trying as hard not to make noise, we still end up making just a little bit of noise. We head to the courtyard and try to casually take pictures and get out of the property."

Drank before/during the trip. It is so stupid to get inebriated while exploring... kinda like alcohol and night swimming. I realized after the fact just how F-ed up I was. Very stupid.

Took a dump in an abandoned bathroom (well, EVERYTHING there is abandoned!!) in Byberry and used toilet paper, still wrapped, that had to be fifteen years old. I found it in a supply closet and couldn't believe my good fortune! I ate a double-Whopper with cheese and large fries two hours previous to my adventure and it was a dire emergency that I voided that poison with a quickness!
For all I know it's now petrified and still there in it's waterless grave...
That, and had a Roman Candle war in the basement tunnels! Those phosphorescent balls of flame hurt a bit!

"Will you compromise and then realize the price is too much to pay?" "Winners and losers... which one will you be today?"

Not crazy, but a thrill and exciting nonetheless.

Visiting an old factory with Spyder a second time, took some good pictures and in all had a good time.

What was different from this adventure was myself, my brother and cousin were able to slip through the floorboards underneath an old boiler, into small room with brick walls that formed a series of enclosed pill-box like compartments.

The main side wall had a small hole carved into it, just big enough for all three of us to crawl through. (Although we had a bit of a problem with some timber beams blocking the way) We got inside where it was pretty dark, and was filled with sand with two support pillars and a platform between them.

My other cousin up top began to freak out as he said he heard something, and my uncle ended up spotting a blue pick up truck that had drove past our hidden van, and parked a few feet from it. He told us to kill the lights and to wait in the room quietly. Doing so for a couple of minutes, he came back down and told us to move quickly but quietly.

After getting out of the small room, we crawled back up through the floor boards and had a quick, but calm walk back towards our van. We never saw the truck driver, as it looked as he had entered in through another entrance a couple of yards away from the truck. We all piled into the van and took off very quickly. It was just a pity that our exploration was cut a bit short.

Found a winch in an abandoned silo, that was obviosly for lowering people down the silos... so we tried it out. Even though it was very rusty. And survived.

I was going to say that I took a dump in a bucket in an abandoned power plant once, but after I read this one above me I realized I couldn't compete. That's wild. Wish I would have been there.

(I guess climbing the death staircase at the Toronto Malt Plant was pretty crazy, though...)
