CSX tracks through downtown Indianapolis...

I've lately been taking late-night treks along the CSX tracks in Indy, starting around Pogue's Run on the near-east side, then proceeding through south downtown. The tracks go through the old Union Station, with its defunct Chicago-esque platforms (sigh).

Here are last weekend's photos... the first shows the remnants of Indy's light-rail service... the second shows an old railgate stairway solidly loaded with concrete - 'nuff said.

If you're interested in this, or other (Center Township) Indy sites, holler.

a couple more...

a photo of Conseco Fieldhouse, home of the NBA Pacers, from the Jungle, a surprisingly densely-forested urban homeless camp along the CSX...

the downtown Indy Heliport... a fine, fat, uniformed fellow chased me away soon after taking this photo... he was not well-built for a chase!

Forgive my ignorance.

Is "UE DB" different from "LDB"? Indy's Union Station is not on this site's "UE DB".

UE DB and LDB are the same thing. You can't see that location because it is marked as level 3 view only, and you are not level 3. If you don't know what level 3 is, read up on it.

WTF indeed.

Ah, Level Three. Thanks. I stand corrected. I'll get right on that.
