Any Berlin wall escapers?

After replying in 'Draining History' topic, interesting question came to my mind. Here it is: Is there any people here who have got from East-Berlin to West-Berlin without permission by climbing over the wall, going through sewers, or things like that.. If so, what way did you use?

Here a life report of an escape over the berlin wall:

Note: it's performance art ...

Babelfish translation:

The 9 November is the day of the Mauerfalls in Berlin. The commemorative site Berliner wall is the single place in Berlin where there is another hermetical terminated field between both walls. An apparently unguarded no one country that the overcoming enabled this remainder zone. What 12 years ago a deadly venture was, is allay today stage for one act.

We tried to climb the Wall when I was in Berlin with a few friends in 2002. It's hard! For a start, it's taller that it looks. Secondly, there's this round concrete pipe about 1 ft in diameter along the top, which is nearly impossible to grip because it has no corners. Now imagine the watchtowers, the "death strip" and the self-triggering guns, and you can see why few people escaped across the Wall!

The recent book 'Stasiland' by Anna Funder has a great and very nearly successful wall escape tale about a young girl. Good read too.

No wall for me, but I did boulder the Reichstag a little when in Berlin last, though.
