Louisville, KY Meet?

Anybody interested in doing a tour of Waverly Hills, esp. a night thing? I am not for sure whatelse to include in this, but I can get permission easy and there might be a group discount if 5 or more show. Throwing the idea around, because it gets crowded and you need to sign up early for anything around Halloween...

classwork permitting, I would possibly be interested. I've been meaning to get down there eventually. I would prefer daylight, but night is better then nothing.

I'm sure something can be arranged, for a day exploration. I am open for suggestions here. It is about an hours drive for me on a good day so I will need to check it out once I get settled in my new pad.

You know I'm interested. You might want to post this to the Great Lakes board too, since Louisville isn't too far from Indianapolis, Chicago, etc.

I would like a day time tour to get some good shots.

Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time.

I actually saw this today because one of my site referrals was the Death Tunnel (see other thread) --
http://whsron46.tripod.com/id43.html
or
http://www.waverlyhillstbsanatorium.com/

Tours! $20 per person, get to see the exterior, five floors plus the roof (minus some areas undergoing structural maintaince) and see a short video in the renovated laundry room facility (it looks nice, depending it went from complete abandonment). If some people want, I can see if we can get a more personalized tour or if I can find out how many are going on that specific night, it might not be needed.

TOUR AND MEET-UP INFORMATION FOR WAVERLY HILLS --

This is sort of short notice, but I had no idea the tours were going to be "closing" rather soon (September 18) to prepare for the Halloween bash. Much has changed since I last took a tour, as they now show you a video in the renovated laundry building and tour groups are often 5-25 people in size (!).

I plan on going up on the weekend of the 10th with a friend to take a tour and do some photography.

Call (502)417-4526 and ask for Tina Mattingly of the Waverly Hills Historical Society if you want more information on the tours.

*Pananormal and Historical Tours are going on NOW through September the 18th on Friday, Saturday at 8:30, 9:30 and 10:30 PM.

*Historical Tours on Sunday's at 2:30 PM.

After that, the annual haunted house fund raiser begins, September the 23rd and will run on the weekends thruogh October. Tours during THAT time will be on Tuesday's and Wednesday's at 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM.

*Tours are $20 PER PERSON and it is a donation to the Waverly Hills Historical Society Inc.

*Overnight investigations are also available. They are scheduled on Saturday nights from 12:00 midnight to 6:00 AM. Overnights are $100 PER PERSON. Overnights after September the 18th are scheduled on weekdays.

*After October, depending on the weather, tours will end until next spring.

Some people were interested in a day-time historical tour so that ample photographs could be taken in good light (plus, you do not have to mingle with the paranormal investigators, which there are MANY in the area). Unfortunately, they are only offering the day time tour at 2:30 on Sunday only. If you all are interested in daytime more, I will give a call.

Otherwise, the only time slots she gave me are at night but it is mingled with paranormal investigators. Thanks to the Louisville Ghost Hunters Society, the place gets overrun with people chasing orbs and dust specs.

I don't think I can make it after all until the spring time guys. Unfortunately, I have two papers due the following Monday, along with an Accounting exam and a Statistics review

If you are still going, I provided the tour information, and from what I inferred when I called her, there are people who go every day.
