The User Boards section of the forums are described as "anyone may join", however if I click on any board subject (to open them), it replies with "Sorry, you're not allowed to see this Private Board". Which would be fine and understandable except for one thing. If I select "subscribe me to this public board" for the same board that denied me, it will add the board to my private boards list and I may enter by clicking it there. It works this way for every board I've tested in the User Boards forum (about 30%). So the question is should I be able to open the boards and the initial block is a bug OR shouldn't I be able to open the boards and the subscription is allowing me to in error? There are two kinds of Private Boards -- Private ones and Open-To-All. Open-To-All means anyone may subscribe, Private means only the creator of the board may add members. The listing on the User Boards page is the Open-To-All boards, you will not see Private ones unless you are a member. In sort: The system is working as it should. Maybe change: "Sorry, you're not allowed to see this Private Board" To something like: "This board is only available to subscribers, please subscribe to view it." Just an idea.
