Location Data Base questions and quality

I wonder if I might solicit some feedback from the community on the etiquette and preferences for logging a location in the ue db?

First Im new. Second I love the DB I cannot stress that enough so this is not a complaint just an attempt to get myself educated.

1. How many pictures are too many? I only intend to put up good pics no blank or underexposed frames or sideways crap but Im getting the impression some folks (maybe dial ups) only wish to view a small number or percentage of the images.

2. Is there a proper way to approach editing another users location? I dont want to step on toes or offend someones sensitivities. Does the location become "community domain" once its posted or after ____ period of time and open to any who wish to add or edit?

3. Whats up with posting copyrighted images to a location? I would never do that but thats just my opinion. I have seen some that have. Notify the admin? Look the other way? Seems like its missing half the point and all the fun if you didnt actually go there and shoot it yourself. At least credit should be given to the real photographer.

4. Rating a location. I would appreciate any feedback positive or negative as long as its real. If you think my location or pics suck thats cool just please tell me why you think that. I would really like to understand what makes you rate a location a 7 or greater too.

5. Open to suggestions what do you want to see. Personally I would like to see some locations of active/occupied sites taken covertly with small spy type cameras or camera phone kind of stealth exploration. Anyone else, even if the images are low res? Not talking about the bus station or something anyone can walk into, I mean something that merits the effort.

(Ive searched for a FAQ or other thread re-direct me please if this has already been covered)

1. A good number is 20-30 photos, unless there's a good reason to have more.

2. The LDB is a community effort. If you have more accurate or more recent information, please click "edit" and add it in. Locations are not "owned" by anyone -- they have a creator and contributors, but nobody "owns" a location.

3. Please only post images for which you have the copyright, or permission.

5. Please keep your locations UE-related. Sightseeing photos of buildings are not applicable. Photos of your home are not applicable. etc.

Look at some of the other active sites in the DB. There are not many of them thay I have seen. If you think it merits the effot to be an active DB location add it. If it doesn't then don't add it

This isn't boot camp and you are not a ninja. But you sure look like an idiot in that outfit.
