| | | Maryland "School's Out" Meetup < on 5/28/2005 1:34 PM >
| | | I think it's about that time of year for a semi-big group meet, maybe ten people? Any ideas as to when? Or where? Im thinking maybe June 11th or the 18th. Let's see... Henryton? - Good, open, little police intervention (good for a group), but everyone has been there, done that. Glenndale? - Cool, but not necessarily a good group spot. Enchanted Forest? - Never been on the property, someone else comment. NRL Waldorf? - Might make a cool group meet, nice and open and little chance of intervention, good spot for a bbq, but not really much to explore. Any other suggestions?

| | | I could do Henryton or the Enchanted Forest, but getting to either of the others would be considerably harder for me.. -Matt

| | | I'm game for any of the locations you listed. I don't think there's any that are more than two hours away from me. I'm in Southern PA, so if anyone needs a ride, and is on my way (within reason) - PM me. I'll bring the buns.

Don't ever tell anybody anything. If you do, you start missing everybody.

| | | Some input as far as location would be nice. I think I've whittled it down to Henryton vs NRL, mostly because neither have any security and both are really cool. Farewell to NRL meet? Come on guys, give me some ideas. Though once I finalize any plans, this will go to a private board, kind of like the Byberry meetup. (Which, btw, I haven't heard anything about since it happened) Louie

You would be able to see it, I would invite anybody interested. My only problem with Henryton is that everybody has seen pretty much all of it. Less people have ever been to the satellites, and they won't be around much longer. Though you are right, theres not much to see. We could always do a combination thing, like Henryton all day, sunset at NRL...

| | | You should really reconsider glenndale. I've never found the 'security' to be a problem if you take the most basic of precautions (park smart). Its not as familiar to most of you as henryton, plus the location is a bit more convenient for a side trip to the dish.

| | | yeah if you wanna do two trips in one day then henryton and the satellites are probably not a good choice, I haven't ever been to glendale so I cant comment on that. But it might become hard to park alot of people for glendale, I dont know.

| | | Glendale and NRl might be cool, NRL in the morning and then Glendale later for whoever wants to go. By the suggestion of msb, this would go to the Maryland board, not its own. Can you guys/gals give me some input on dates? What works for you?

| | | Ok, since I didn't get much of a response, I made the decisions without much input. See the Maryland private board for more details and to sign up. http://www.uer.ca/...d=1&threadid=20251 Edit: To get on the MD private board, PM msb.

| | | Well, the whole idea was pretty much scrapped in favor of Fort Carrol... see the MDUE board.
