Lots. I used to visit KC from time to time and have found a number of new sites, unfortunately other hobbies are keeping me away these days. But, in the past year, a good community of explorers has developed in KC. PAWolf or one of the other locals will probably post something here soon, you could hook up with them. In the meantime...go over to 18th and Vine and drive south on Vine, also head south of 18th on the Paseo and take the hill on your right in a couple blocks or so. Lots of good stuff within a few blocks of each other in that neighborhood. If you haven't seen it already, you'll be surprised.

I want to be different. But I want to be different just like everybody else, because if I really were different, everybody would think I was crazy and weird.

I was there a few weeks ago on a business trip and came across the Blue Ridge Mall (near the stadiums). Looked like the only thing that was still open was an outdoor access Applebees, but you could still enter the mall. I would have looked more, but I was there with a coworker, and didn't think I should indulge. You may find something interesting there.

blue ridge mall is destined to be a wal mrt in a few years . theres already plans and drawingss made. when the whole mall was open they had a bunch of pictures of when it used to be an open air mall . the security is practally non extient {sp} . they recently closed the lower level parking garage because of lack of busniess . they whole mall is now split in half with a partition wall . id love to get 5 minutes alone in there..

I think the access to the stadium tunnels is in the stadiums themselves. My aunt used to work at the royals games as a vendor and she talked about them. I will ask her next time she is in town.
Can you still get in to the lower portion of the blue ridge mall? Not the part with the antique store but the other side. It used to have an arcade, movie theaters, restroom, and in the later years some kinda holy roller type of chuch was down there. I bet that area has all the fun stuff in it.

we found the drains under the stadiums .but we did not find a link to the staidums themselves.when we came out the tunnels had gotten from standing to crawling height . definetly not the 80,000 person storm shelter we heard about.

I use to live down 43rd st from the Blue Ridge Mall and went and played arcade games at the Spaceport arcade all the time. There's also that old movie theatre nearby that at last time I saw, was abandoned.

I also worked at the Stadiums a summer doing clean up after games and saw the tunnels, they weren't huge or extensive, but still interesting, I imagine working there or getting a tour will be your only way in though. I remember having to take an elevator down to them.

But, yeah, I remember Blue Ridge Mall in it's Hayday, my brother and I got kicked out of there several times as kids because we would use the escalator handrails as rollercoasters, heh.

Yeah the movie theatre next door is locked down really tight. We tried to get in a few years ago but all the entrances were locked. However I do believe it is for sale, probably only costs a half a million or so.

Fuckin' Wal-Mart... They are tearing (or possibly tore?) down one of the few good locations in Pittsburgh as well. And others... Pretty soon the whole country will be one ginormous Wal-Mart. Except for a few shacks where all the people live.

I've been in a drain under the stadium area. It's low, but goes right up only a few feet under the surface for about 1/4 mile under the stadiums. I doubt it was near the tunnels that you guys speak of, they would've had to cross underneath the drain.

I want to be different. But I want to be different just like everybody else, because if I really were different, everybody would think I was crazy and weird.

Hi guys... finally made it on the site.

I've seen most of Blue Ridge Mall in various states of open and closed... there's nothing too impressive in there (IMO).
