hmm is that the huge one in Newport? I'm not too sure. I've only been in the area once in my life, but if that's the one then I think that taking an "unguided tour" would give you a hell of a record if you were caught. It'd be like breaking into an active site.

Never without permission, no.
But now I'm totally going to, and you're going to get me back on the FBI watch list.

edit: Unless you guys want to RENT the fort.

Allow me to offer some advice. Be extremely careful in the Newport county area at night, especially when the warm weather comes around. Those forts are really sweet, but the Staties are known for heavy patrolling looking for partiers and such; they'll sneak up on you with little to no notice. (And I mean that, they won't make their presence known until they're breathing down your neck.)

What about the local cops?
Jamestown and Newport's finest don't really have much to do besides harass teenagers, and collect beefy paychecks. I've been caught tagging twice in Jamestown (in town), and the cops there are not very bright or polite.

I would say that's a pretty accurate description. Oddly enough, I've never seen the locals on any of the forts though. It's always the god damn staties; and they are a force to be reckoned with.

Jamestown cops have kicked me out of two different sets of docks/marinas when they caught me exploring closer to sunset. And I've even been hassled by people from the parks department at Wetherill.

I dunno. Its weird, but there has to be other stuff worth exploring in Newport. Apparently there's even a ghetto east of downtown.

the one and only time I was at Wetherill, we left because a group of kids were running around playing paintball and I was afraid of being hit by one of them.
I hope the goddamn park dept. hassled THOSE kids, they're the real kinda troublemakers.
