| | | I just wanna know if they have taken them down yet. I took a trip up there but I didnt have my digital Camera and my photos didnt turn out as well as I would have wanted them to. It is a long trip up there from where I am and was wondering if anyone knew the status of them.

| | | What the hell, I might drive down there tonight. I don't have a job yet and I would love to get better night shots of them....assuming they are still around. Anyone with me? I will post updates.

| | | They'll be gone, but it would be good to see the ruins or whatever is left. Remember, the eBay deal was 60 days to get rid of them. Unless somehow the process got caught up by the EPA or something to that effect... they did have unresolved violations if I can recall. Louie [last edit 5/12/2005 6:23 PM by Louie - edited 2 times]

| | | I am willing to bet money that they are still around. If you go back to the auction, the winner was not a demolitionist. If you look into past auctions, he was a military collector, and probably did not know what he was getting into.

| | | That's what I'm thinking. I noticed that back when the auction closed... Now I want to go!! But alas, I am stuck at school. Maybe this weekend.

| | | Pat Virual and myself spent a good 3 hours over there today. We had a good time and I took some nice pictures. I'll add to the DB tomorrow night... I also took some quick shots of the demolition/refurbishing of the control site from when it was a NIKE base. Ill add it to the DB tomorrow night. Louie

| | | There was one not too far from Henryton but I don't think there's much of anything left of it.
Buildings have two natural enemies- water, and bears. |

I think that was the Granite base, which had four radar towers and was abandoned, but the radar towers were demolished and the property is used for something else.
There are a couple sites around, but they are used or nothing interesting remains.
