It seems I had this in the wrong place before. Has anybody ever checked out Boothill?

Hmm. I've walked past it several times and never knew about that cemetary, just Woodlands cemetary, which has since been razed. I found this site on the cemetary:

From the looks of it the only maintenance is done by the few people that visit the cemetary.

I took only one random headstone picture not even realizing it was the same headstone as on the main page of the Boot Hill web site link. Creepy?

From the geography of the land, I doubt it will be torn up since it's so close to the housing development next door. But they might tear out the headstones and incorporate it into the development like the Woodlands Cemetary.

You mean the actual Woodlands Cemetary, not Boothill, headstones? They were removed some time ago as development plans started progressing. The same will likely happen to the Boothill stones. Apparently they will be 'preserving' Woodlands Cemetary into a nature park of some sort in the last phase of development.

Where was Woodlands cemetery using Boothill as a reference? There is a group that are Boothill advocates that are trying to do some sort of preservation work for that cemetery I think. Viper have you ever checked out the old Nurses Quarters at the corner of Mcbride and Columbia??

There are two cemetaries on the Woodlands grounds, and yes there are a couple of websites dedicated to Boothill's preservation.

I have checked out the Nurses Residence on several occasions.

Yes, several of the wraiths have been in there. I've been in every building that was on Woodlands grounds, except the admin building (Viper and Wolf made it in before it was gone though).

Am I on the right track to say that the building on the corner of Mcbride and Columbia is the old nursing residence? or not? An old resident of New Westminster who lives right beside Boothill told me that that was what that place was. Is this old fellow mistaken and if so what was that building? It does not look like they are going to tear it down, resto maybe?

That is the right building. It's supposed to be one of the ones that are kept with heritage status, but I haven't seen anything concrete about the plans for the remaining buildings.

I keep forgetting to get a close look at the Nurses' Res fire damage. All I saw glancing at it from a distance was all the windows boarded up.

I have only had a brief look at this building ,I was not noticing fire damage but I did not go around the whole thing because I was there on a Saturday and there was too many workers around. Did it burn at one point ? Do you have any pictures of the inside that you would be willing to show me ? N.

Story: http://www.royalci...ews/092204nn6.html

I only have a couple low quality pictures taken with my old camera.

Interesting story from the Record.

My favourite quote is this one:
"Through some hard work they were able to safe the buildings, although the inside was gutted," said Wright.
(The typo :p)
