you'll have to dumb it down for me Im afraid

I was not able to use the to make an active link when posting an encyclopedia entry and html doesnt seem to allowed, is there a faq or thread on this somewhere

thanks in advance

edit: ( forgot to inlcude that I got the link to open but it kept doing the page not found thing, the page is there and working however and I have linked it in other forums)

In the "post editor", there is a button of Planet Earth.

Click it.

It shows (url)(/url), stick your link between the two...
(url)http://www.google.com(/url) (with square brackets, though) =
http://www.google.com


If you want to embed a link into a word or photo...
use it like (url=http://www.google.com)Google!(/url) =
Google!

Nah Beryl, he's talking about making a UEDB reference, which is different.

You need to put the article title into the tag. For example:

Knots, Types of

The code for this looks like:

[ uedb=Knots, Types of]

Except take out the space between '[' and "uedb".
