| | | This Old Farm House < on 5/1/2005 2:41 AM >
| | | Hey guys, I've been a member for several years but I've always just lurked in the shadows. I've been on 2 different explorations, but never took a camera. This time, I had my camera, so heres my pictures! This is a farm house on a rural road just outside of the city of Lansing, MI. It seems to have been ravaged by storms, possibly a tornado. There was a man running a tractor in the field behind the barn so I didn't get to check out the barn today. Maybe some other time... Anyways, enough talking, here's my pics. Sorry about the quality, lighting sucked, but these are downsized from 1260xwhatever so I DO have much bigger pics.
I don't have database access yet, but once I do, you can bet I'll add this location.

| | | it sort of looks like someone was living there until the roof fell in. and then continued living there until recently.

| | | hey thats way cool. I like that stuff. out of curiosity, what would make someone leave the place like that? I mean the piano is still there, there is a tv, which you would think they would still have electricity....hrmm....leaves me scratching my head. if the person died, dont u think the family would come and tear the place down or something? Do you have any pics of inside the barn?

Oh I most definitely did not go inside lol... the floor joists were buckling, that's the first thing I looked at. The door to the cellar was open so I figured I'd inspect the structure, saw that the floor was caving in, and decided not to go in. Besides, you could view every room on the ground floor through the windows anyway. No pictures of the barn yet, there's a large sized disposal container sitting in the driveway now although nothing has been torn down, so once that's gone I'll venture back over there and see if I can access the barn. That'd be awesome if there were some classic cars or tractors in there!

| | | Great pictures, great place. I am amazed at the amount of random debris- looks like someone hoarded plastic tubs and bottles for a good 10 years or so. I hope you find something fantastic in the barn.
