Hey, I'm a big fan of the Henryton Sanitarium, and I was just wondering if anybody has any good stories/pictures from up there (i cant look at the location, not level 3)
Also, does anybody know anything about the police activity up there, because 2 weeks ago the police dropped in while my friend was there, and kicked them out. This is the first i've heard of any law enforcement being around there, and i was wondering if anybody else has a little more information. Thanks

I saw a few police driving around while I was there a few weeks ago but they never saw us. They were only there for a few minutes and never stopped or got out of their cars. I tried to upload some photos but they files are to big and I really dont feel like resizing and saving them all. If I had web hosting I would put them up there but I dont right now.

I remember seeing a picture in one of the Henryton galleries, an aerial photo of Henryton, with the buildings and important points labeled. Is it possible that anyone (with the photograph's owners permission) could send me that?

Yesterday Roland and I met up at Marriottsville road. We checked out the cave which looks like it was man made, saw substantial ruins of a furnace, and then walked up to Henryton. We checked out a lot of buildings and with the bad weather we thought we would be alone. As we were walking down the main road from the Administration building Roland heard a noise. I looked to my right and a white chevy pickup was driving up the hill from the power station. Roland and I quickly ran into the trees to hide and we watched the truck for a few seconds. It stopped at the gate and thats when we ran back towards Henryton and made our way to the train tracks down the hill, coming out at the power station. All in all it was pretty fun. Unfortunately it was too overcast to get any decent pics so that will have to come later. We saw the cave but we didn't have a flashlight with us and it still looked like it was filled with water. I plan on going back in a little while after everything has dried out.

Haha, i was thinking the exact same thing about that day, i was considering going up there. I go the way where you cross the river though, so i though the water might be a bit high.
Where's this cave?

The white truck is nothing to worry about, it's coming from the water pump thingy. When a couple of my friends and I were making our approach, the guy straight up saw us twice, he didnt care at all.

LOL! The river kids Mike and Matt... they accidentally dropped a boot in the water and we didnt jump in after it. It's hard for me to place the blame on any of us.

Next time I head up to Henryton I'll let you know.

Well it was enough to scare the s**t out of us! But it was actually a adrenaline rush when we thought we might get caught, it was kind of cool. Except for the white truck, we didn't see anybody else there. We did notice that the infamous cat skeleton was literally cut in half (now it looks like one of those human body cutouts in school science classrooms, except that its all white.) Also we went into the morgue/kitchen and there was a ton of water coming down in there, right where all of the old computer equipment is being stored. It was a pretty cool trip for it raining part of the time.

P.S. Actually the cat has been cut in half for a while, I meant to say that it looked like it was kicked around because we saw it on the floor and one of the legs was detached.

The only other vehicle I have ever seen drive through was an oldish green Dodge Ram.

Aaaah! The leg? Maybe it should have a proper burial...

I think it's a pretty good rule of thumb when exploring on a property with a closed off road when you see a vehicle on said property it's not a good idea to be seen. That was probably the closest I've come to being caught, even closer than the Glenn Dale trip in March, and it's a hell of a rush.

Haha yeah, ive heard all about it, mike showed me the link to your site, which i am still not really sure how he found. But yeah, i heard that time they didnt even go up to Henryton cause 'the guy in the train saw us'. Hahaha. What losers. I recently went up to Henryton with him and a friend, and it was pretty fun. My name is Matt as well, no affiliation to the Matt on your site (haha), although I'm pretty sure that mike was with another friend, Andrew at the time he saw you. Oh well.
Yeah, I'm always up for a good Henryton visit, so if you want to look into meeting up or anything, just send me a message.

Aqua-ish green Ram? Driving up from the power plant? Around the beginning of April? Then yeah... we saw you.

I was at my doctor's office today getting a tuberculin test I need for school and I mentioned Henryton, it turns out my doctor had been to Henryton a lot when it was open and he was a medical student. Next time i'm there I'm going to bring a few pictures so he can see what's become of it.

I was up at Henryton today with a few friends, and the white truck drove by next to the train tracks, and I'm sure it saw us, we had just started our way up the hill. So, just to be safe we decided to walk back down to the railroad and play it off for a few minutes to see if the guy was gonna do anything. But he just stopped at the fenced in jumble of pipes near the railroad, did his work and left within 5 minutes. We even waved while he was leaving. Anyways, I just thought it was freaky how he showed up just as we started moving towards the buildings. There were also a few professional looking people who looked like they were measuring something along the train tracks, but they didnt bother us.

the white trucks your seeing along the railroad tracks are most likely rail workers. since most rail trucks for CSX are white, also workers can use there personal vehicles for work. theyve been doing work on most of the rails in and around the city, most spots there preparing to lay ribbon rail. those dudes arent nothing to worry about, unless they call the bull on yall for walkin on the tracks which is tresspassing on railraod property. but the bulls athority ends soon as you leave RR property.

and alcides-x i think you mean FUCK this level 3 shit
