| | | Go into your profile, to "Show/Hide Sections". Check "Hide the Regional Map". I believe that will do it.

| | | That does indeed turn it off... I had been trying to turn it off while in UER mobile, which doesnt have that option. I would like to be able to turn it off in UER mobile, and leave it on in regular UER... I know Av doesnt have enough to do

Is there a possibility it will be finished in the future?

| | | WEP cell phone browsers are a joke. If you want to really browse the internet, get a phone that doesn't use a WEP browser (preferably a phone that uses a CDMA connection, GMA is a joke for data transfer). But there might be a setting in your phone's browser to turn off all images. I know some newer phones have that.

| | | WAP, you are thinking WAP. Which really has nothing to do with CDMA, every cellular technology uses WAP, including TDMA (IS-136), GSM, and iDEN. I'm not sure what you mean by GMA, perhaps you mean GSM/GPRS? GSM/GPRS can reach theoretical speeds of 107.2 kbps CDMA/1X 144kbps Some GSM providers are EDGE (Enhanced Data Rate for GSM) and can reach speeds of 384kbps.

| | | Get a PCMCIA analog cellular modem, they rock out at 19.2k! I just bust out my PDA when I'm in a city and get lots of open access points. Alaskan businesses just recently learned about WiFi, and it will probably take them a few years to figure out encryption.

| | | I don't know if this is the dumbest idea on earth or the best, but as I was walking through my house last night after spending an hour reading on UER, I had a thought - maybe you could offer a mobile version of the forum for cell phones and PDA's...possibly as a paid or premium feature? Wouldn't it be cool to be sitting in the barber shop or in the passenger seat of a car and read UER on your phone? This could also be useful when on a mission, as you could pull out your phone or PDA and look something up in the LDB or on the forum. I'm sure you'd have to code something to keep the pictures to a minimum but all of the text would work out quite well I think. Thoughts? ~Grit. *EDITED for stupidity ... didn't notice the thread...sorry. [last edit 5/13/2005 6:34 PM by grit1 - edited 1 times]
