I was out at the old Amon Carter Filed site a few days back that people were earlier in this thread talking about. The buildings that are left are the one of old fuel and power stations that were off to the south of the old terminal.

I took some pics that are on my site if you want to see.

http://public.fotk...kshot/amon_carter/

I always wanted to tour this place before it was torn down and had ample opportunities from someone i knew who worked there right up till it was torn down but never took the offer, always thought I would have another chance.

As far as the Baker goes you might just give them a call, there pretty open to letting people in for tours!

I'm new to Dallas and haven't explored anywhere up here. I did a little bit in Austin while I lived down there...but nothing organized. Just me and a friend checking stuff out whenever we came across something that looked interesting.

I'd love to meet up with you guys sometime and check some of the downtown stuff out. I live downtown on Main.

I pass by the old Dallas city High School on the train. It looks very promising...anyone been in there?

Cool pix!
I wonder if there's anything under that grate worth looking at?

At the moment, they've discontinued tours but might be open to us as a group of urban preservationists or something. Even when they DID tours, there were areas that were locked and you know those are the places we'd all wanna see. I was thinking of using the "We're a group of freelance photojournalists interested in helping to preserve local landmarks..." approach.

I'm a blatant waste of time and resources.

If you're on Main, you're really close to some interesting sites. I ran in to a couple of sk8rs who go around the downtown area and are getting in to exploring too.

yeah it is the crozier tech building...nearly impossible because of the amount of exposure, and lights...you would have to go at about 3:00am

What's up, John? I've got some pretty good drain sites in Plano if you're interested. One of 'em goes under a graveyard.

Rest in Peace, Ninjalicious. I know that wherever you are, you're finding the best sites for us already.

thats the one. it looks like its boarded up very well and it is in the middle of downtown....but it looks like it would be incredible inside.

another thought....i ride the train everyday, and since cityplace station is underground i figured there had to be something leading off from the main tracks. have you guys found anything?

also, i just realized that there is a 16 story building directly next to my building that is being refurbished for lofts (i assume). i can see inside from my 4th floor windows and it looks fairly empty and boring, but may be worth a trip. i think its about 1350 or 1400 main.

I'm from Plano, that's basically Dallas, right?

I'm a drainer and a traceur, but I'm a little too scared of trespassing tickets for some of the more intense UE. Nice to meet everybody here.

you should try the more intense ue...it is wild...you just have to be a little more discreet about entrance/exit...
