LDB Entry Privacy at Level 3

If I've been reading correctly, the LDB is only going to be available to level 3 users. Am I right? See, I've got a few galleries and locations that are marked as anonymous, mostly because I wasn't sure how sensitive the locations were, them being active or what have you. Also, a few of the location names were changed from their specific name to something more generic (like "abandoned hospital" or whatever).

With the trusted system in place, does this then mean we're safe to drop anonymity for locations? Or are we keeping those measures around as an added layer of security? I'm just curious, as I wouldn't mind the now anonymous locations I've added to the DB showing up in my profile.

Anyone other than Level 3 will be restricted to seeing only locations marked as "Demolished".

Any members who have contributed locations but are still Level 2 will have full access to their own locations, but will not be able to see other locations that are not Demolished.

And yes, once Level 3 access has been initiated, we can put back the real names and be less stringent about the anonymous thing.

Just for statistics: there are now 105 locations in the LDB marked as "demolished" with another 50 marked as "being demolished".

But I know there are locations that don't exist anymore while not being marked as "demolished", so if everyone wants to check wether all his locations states are marked correctly, the non-members (and L2 members) want to thank you in advance.

Excellent, that's a huge relief. Thanks for clarifying.

I can go and add those few remaining locations I have, then. I may have missed this statement in the tens of posts on this subject, but I felt there was little point maintaining locations I won't have access to in a few weeks (the earliest I could start building a 'reputation' for myself is June, and I don't contribute enough anyway).

Perhaps there could be a way to mark locations as being completely inaccessable due to reasons other than demolition. If a once-abandoned and explorable grain elevator is renovated into lofts or a shopping center I think it would be more than safe to have unsecured.

Perhaps the designation "historical reference" would better sum up the category. Just a thought.

Assuming, of course, you believe everyone with Level 3 access abides by the same moral character you yourself have.

I have no intentions of adding any more specific information to locations I post than I do now. I give a good look and feel description and some good pictures, individuals will still have to approach me for details.

Why not just hide the locations to anyone with less than level 3? Being able to look at the pictures, but not knowing where the place is isn't going to be very beneficial to someone with malicious intent. And seriously, there is enough UE places around that someone hardly needs a web forum to scout locations to torch, the landscape is practically littered with them.
