However it doesn't appear that he has explored any of these places, most entries have little to no information, and there is not a single image gallery in any of these locations.
Detroit and i are going to be compiling a set of LDB standards in the near future which will address these sort of entries.
I'll check the rest of them when it's not two o'clock in the morning.

"the point"? you mean there are ulterior motives to the addition of these entries? I don't get it... You're right - i must be missing the point.
Anyway, it't not really that big a deal. I mean yeah they're all pretty weak entries, but lets give him a week or two to beef them up, maybe he's planning on adding galleries and more information. There are plenty of locations in the database just like these (locations with nothing but a main pic and some random blips of info) and what I normally do is just ask the person to please add more pictures and information to make the LDB entry worthwhile.
Images that are taken from other people's web sites must be clearly credited to the photographer and the photographer's web site.

And even with one pic and little info (which should be plenty for anyone willing to do a little research), most look far more interesting than much of the crap already in the DB. I'd cite specifics, but don't want to start a war by highlighting anyones fab abandoned gas stations or barns.

I agree that these locations have been deeply explored within their walls, but he add new locations and links. It is a work in progress where everyone can add his own stuff. So, he's sharing new and good informations and it helps out for future out-of-town explorers. It is not like it was mapping 40 gas stations and rural houses. Detroit need to me more covered here. I admit that I added some locations (with no pix), but I try to avoid doing that and keep them the most detailed I can. Maybe he should not have the same credit rather than someone having the most hidden corners of a location, but he did some useful work. Also, maybe is one these explorers who prefer the outdoors of the industrial landscapes. Everyone has its own preferences and they're all valuable.

If I took pictures of ANY sort of abandonment (factories, houses, mansions, skyscrapers, Ames stores, etc), I could post 1000+ locations in Detroit. Now, THAT would be a waste of bandwidth. Those 40 locations happen to be some of the best (abandonment) UE available in the world. Try finding another city with dozens of abandoned skyscrapers.

They look like amazing locations and i'm very anxious to see what they look like inside.

Again, missing the point. The LDB shows the locations and gives some info. It's up to anyone whether they want check it out or not. Want to see every corner of every building? Go for it. If I were local to Detroit, I'd be all over those locations with one pic, and explore them for myself. that's what it's all about.
The LDB isn't there to do the work for armchair explorers who merely want to see pics. It's more of a waste of bandwidth for there to be 1000 pics of a location when many of them are essentially the same.
