You may have noticed a new button on the left sidebar -- EVENTS.

It's still in early Alpha, but you can create and edit events. The hardest part was the super-dynamic Repeat system which lets you specify events that occur on a schedule.

Keep your eyes on it as it grows!

wicked! great idea dude.

You shake my hand, say “pleased to meet you.” Look me in the eye, I don’t believe you. TUI, as long as I’m still alive. I live despite you. Realize I’m not one of your kind, I’m nothing like you.

I say the event thing could be tied into the UE DB. That way the events would be grouped by location.

Very nice...however, what about making it like the DB? As in not visible to someone who isn't logged in. Also, is it for only UE events? Or does anything go there? I saw that you had listed 2600 meets. Not exactly UE if ya know what I mean.

This would be sorta self defeating if you ask me. My feelings toward this aren't overtly positive as it is, but making it so that someone MUST become a member to see what's going on locally is, pardon the bluntness, retarded.

If you are that worried about "unsavory elements" seeing your plans and meets, maybe the "UER Events" feature isn't for you.

I think Av said he was going to make it so you could make private or invite-only meets anyway.

Hmm...That wasn't a very well thought out post was it? Yeah, in a clearer state of mind I can see the utility of making it invite only, but it should definitely be a feature to select and not the default.

On the edit event page, there is a typo - it says "Provice/state".

Also (and I am assuming related), when did Alaska become a country? (in that "requested info" thing)

I think all American states are in there - as well as some odd things, like I saw Auckland, NZ in there.
