Understandable, but what if the mod that ignores you is the only one here? Or, what if you really need their attention (not that way) for a very important matter. We are talking about serious stuff, not boo-hoo crap.

Misfit, this has nothing to do with me. As far as I know, I am not even on MikeD's ignore list. So I have no examples to give.

Again, I find this a moot point. There are about 10 active mods. You can go to any one of them for help.

If you manage to piss off a mod badly enough that they block you, and then need their help for something, I guess you're fucked. If you have a genuine issue you'll just have to find a mod you haven't alienated, or post it in the forum issues board.

Most of the time more than one of us is around, although on occasion *surprise* none of us are here. Really, what could possibly be so important that it would require immediate attention of a mod? What if no mods happen to be online? Nobody is going to die or be injured as a result, it'll just wait until one logs on and then be resolved.

Seems like a temporary 'cooling off' ignore might be useful. I can imagine a situation where a mod might ignore someone and then leave them on ignore. Months down the line when everything is cool again that avenue of communication would still be closed.
Not sure if this would be helpful. I'm not a mod and don't use PM to much. I'm not sure how easy it is to keep track of your ignore list and how constant a reminder you have.
