Anyone ever bring those little cans of air that you spray on stuff? That seems like a good inexpensive substitute

Uhm, you mean the cans of tetrafluorethane for computer dusting??? That stuff is dangerous. Probably as bad or worse than bad tunnel air. SCBA is the only safe way to get bottled air for breathing.

yeah that compressed air for computer dusting isn't actually air. its a heavyer then air gas. infact its been knowen to cause heart erythema in people that have breather in small amounts. so infact you would probably kill your self faster with that stuff.

Right.. you just go ahead and suck on one of those then........
anyways....
how stupid would it be to have some kinda tubing such as the old school scuba suit thingies had... you know those big heavy ass suits with an air tube thay went all the way to the surface or wherever? I suppose you'd require some kinda vacuum breaker valve to prevent used/bad air from going back into the hose.... it might be semi feasible.

if the tube were any longer then 2 meters you would need a good air pump to make it work.

I've thought about this for deep snorkeling. As long as you breath in from your mouth (tube) and out through your nose you will be bringing in fresh air. A good tank would probably be both a better idea and much less of a pain in the ass.
