| | | | Validation is to help the LDB mods realize which locations need to be reviewed and which they've already reviewed.
Moderator Rating is a rating on the overall content, coolness, and photography of the location which is applied based on a set of guidelines. The user ratings are horrible right now -- people are giving locations with almost no content an 8/10.

I don't know. Are mods gradually going thru all the locations and rating them, so eventually, at some given point in time, all locations will be Validated/Mod-Rated? Or will it be just the ones that they happen upon, etc?

No need--- when you modify the location it needs to be re-validated, and rating the location is one of the things on the "validation" checklist. They'll get around to it eventually.

People always do that, that is why we ditched ratings in the UEA. We have another idea which should work much better but that is staying under our hat.
If you ever come to Calgary then email [email protected] and you'll be made welcome, taken to locations and given free accommodation. We'll help save you the $$$ you spend on the flight over here :) |
