I like the small moments of my exploration journeys, such as the few minutes spent listening the place before entering the premises to make sure I'm alone, and situations like where I find some workers clothes hanging in abandoned locker and I start to dream about how long the owner of the clothes used to work here, what was his job and what were his feelings when he had to leave the clothes hanging in there for the last time. So main reasons are the little thrills and adventurous feelings that I get. I also see abandoned places almost as timecapsules of their time, where time seems to be still. The special atmosphere of abandoned factory or house is what I like. I have been wandering in drains, abandoned (and not so abandoned...) buildings, construction sites etc. for more than 10 years more or less regularly. When I was something like 12 me and couple of my friends even had this "club" where we spent our time mostly in such places. It has been only about a year ago when I discovered that there are more people like me who are into such places, and that this hobby of mine has a name! Photographing was not my thing until recently, and I actually know almost nothing about it, but images seen here have inspired me to start learning about it, and nowadays I usually take my camera with me when ever I´m heading for a new place. =) UER Forum > Archived UE Main > UE people help needed.
