| | | Oh boy.. In cowtown, a place like that would have been torn down years ago and have a zillion condo's on top of it... the city has no respect.

| | | I posted information on this on the forum.
Bigwin Island Resort on the Lake of Bays in Muskoka Ontario.
This will always be the best, the biggest and the most mysterious of them all. Too bad it's been resored and many buildings were levelled.

| | | The best place I explored was the main tunnel at the WWI Beaumont Hammel battlefield park in the Somme. (the french government ceded the battlefield to Canada in perpetuity, so it is technically Canadian) I was there when the tunnel complex was opened for the first time since 1917, and was one of only a small handful of people to go inside. It had all the adventure elements: Danger, Forbidden Access, History, Filth, Mystery.
It is a truism that almost any sect, cult, or religion will legislate its creed into law if it acquires the political power to do so, and will follow it by suppressing opposition, subverting all education to seize early the minds of the young, and by killing, locking up, or driving underground all heretics.
