| | | | Abandoned or not, which is better UE?? < on 9/30/2004 6:53 PM >
| | | In a recent post describing a UE site, another member told me "I don't see what the big deal is, maybe if the place was abandoned". This really got me thinking. The name UE doesn't really say anything about specifically exploring abandoned stuff or not. Second, this guy was expressing that he basically felt that abandoned sites were better than active ones. So how do you guys all feel? Is the same building better if it is abandoned? Does being abandoned and empty give make the building more interesting? Given the chance would you rather be given full permission to explore, say Danvers State Hospital, in 2004 or 19004?

| | | To me the interest in UE is seeing abandoned buildings, but I do enjoy factory tours of operating factories. I would rather visit Danvers State in 2004.

| | | Everyone is into UE for different reasons, so i cant qualify or quantify which "type" (if you can even call it that) is better then one or the other. Personally i enjoy going exploring everywhere active, abbandoned, drains, you name it, i do it. Also if you can get the owners full permision, that is the best kind of UE because you cant get caught and in trouble

| | | I am a adrenline junkie. I love active sites. However I dont mind checking out abandonments and taking pictures of them.

| | | The term "UE" is starting to become tiresome. Abandonments are fun, sure. But they aren't the only thing out there.
The following sentence is false. The preceding sentence is true. |

| | | "UE" means "Urban Exploration"... it's not "Abandonment Exploration". There is no "better" or "worse" exploration-type with UE. It's all subjective to the person doing the exploring. There is no answer to this question. Personally, I enjoy abandonments. However, I could just as much enjoy live infil's and drains. C.

| | | I think we're in the middle of having this same conversation in the thread "The State of UE" (main board), so maybe this conversation can just move there. The poll isn't especially useful. Ninj http://www.infiltration.org
