Rules for this Board

Let's give this board a try.

Post updates to your websites here. UE-related websites only. You may discuss the change mentioned in the thread, but do not go off-topic in this board.

Post one thread for each new update. The subject of the thread should be "(name of website) - (name of update)". Inside, post a short description and a link.

For example:

UEKW - Kanada WaterTower
We have added a new mission to the Kanada WaterTower!
Check it out!

I think I will program this board to always sort by the date of the initial post, and not by the date of the most recent post. That way, the newest updates are always at the top.

That makes a lot of sense. That way posts won't bump an older exploration to the top. good idea. I guess the other option was making the update thread poster only for whoever posts the update.

So people will be able to comment on the update in the update thread ?

It requires wisdom to understand wisdom: the music is nothing if the audience is deaf.

Av, I think it is really great that you created this board, however, why did you enable replies? Won't having replies on lead to people discussing regional topics that should left in the regional boards. Maybe you should have turned replies off. If someone wants to discuss an update they should have to do so in the proper region.

I think this should just be a list of updates and no replies.

Well, if people couldn't reply, then they would have to post about the same update AGAIN in the regional board and we would have double posts. In which case, having the website updates board would be useless. I think its fine to have replies here, as long as they are specific to the particular update, and since Av has the board sorted by initial posting date, the replies won't mess up the order of most recent updates.

The laws that keep us safe, these same laws condemn us to boredom. Without access to true chaos, we'll never have true peace. Unless everything can get worse, it won't get any better." -Chuck Palahniuk

But you wouldn't really be discussing the update, as much as the location, and thats what the regional boards are for, no?

You'd be discussing the contents of the update ( The site visited, photos, write up, etc.) Whats the point of posting that your site has added new material in one thread, and then starting a new thread in a different area of the forum where people actually discuss the content of the update mentioned in the other thread.

It makes sense to discuss the update's content in the update thread, regardless of where they explore...

I stand corrected ... replies are cool.
