Is there going to be another one? Has anyone decided on any details yet?

I missed last one due to some unfortunate circumstances regarding my job, but Ishould be able to attend the next one. If there is a next one. I'd just like to start getting my affairs in order.

There will probably be another. Location and date are not decided yet.

Yeah, this is still in the very earliest stages, but I have no doubt that there will be one, somewhere in North America, sometime next Spring/Summer.

There is going to be one in Europe next spring.

Glasgow in Scotland to be more exact.

See the thread in 'World' if it's something that you think might interest you.

Out of sheer curiosity: where does one join to find out the specifics and debate the finer merits, as it were, of the potential next locations? Or is it being decided by a Kabal of some kind accessible only to high-level Illuminati who secretly control the UE world?

Hi!

Well, in the case of Europe I was first contacted by Kimmo who put together the idea of a EurOPEX. I suggested Scotland as a location because UE is legal and there are a lot of good locations... It's also fairly accessible and living here is cheap.

Quite how the American and Canadian OPEX's were put together I'm not sure.. But I think Ninj had a lot of involvment in the planning / execution. Ask him! ?

I hear great things about the Opex's that have been had so far and I'm just hoping we can make the European version as good!

Anyone who'd like to join the secret cabal talking over the next North American OPEX can just drop me a line in private mail or e-mail and I'll add them to the list (as long as they aren't a complete stranger).

I vote AS New York city to host it. This place is full of awesome locations and many many explorers.

Man, I hope it sticks in or around New England, and I hope it's in Late june to early july this time. Scool continues through most of june, that's why I couldn't make it last time. It sucked.

<reuben> somebody keeps jiggling the doorknob on my front door, then running away
<reuben> i don't know if i should call the police, or hook up some electricity to the doorknob
<cristobal> why don't you put ice on the stairs <cristobal> and heat up the door knob <cristobal> and swing paint buckets down from your two story foyer <cristobal> then a few years later, fade from the public eye.....

We've recieved virtually no bids for the next OPEX. Does that mean nobody's interested in having another OPEX? Or (and I think this is more likely) is nobody willing to put in any work on having it in their city? There is a planning committee with members from all over the continent (and I think one overseas) that's there to help.

If you want OPEX'65 you'll have to do more than drool about it.

The second is far more likely, though it does not apply in my case, as I'm trying.

If there is one, in Glasgow in the next year, that gives me a double reason to go visit some friends. Besides, orgainzed tours of the necropolis would be cool.

Urban development is what happens when the planners are trying to figure out what to do. By the time they have it sorted, the development has already happened.

I Think I may try to shoot for Glascow. If I can only afford to do one, it will be glascow before opx. I have never been to europe. I have been to most places in North America.

If you ever come to Calgary then email [email protected] and you'll be made welcome, taken to locations and given free accommodation. We'll help save you the $$$ you spend on the flight over here :)

I thought it was already established that the next OPEX was going to be in Montreal. I forget who told me that, but they are a liar pants on fire.
