Hey, that reminds me... when's the last time any independant party was able to verify one of Av's exploits? Could he... naw.

I can. I was at hearn with him last week. Of course, I could just be a double agent myself...

And there's of course the OpEx crew who can vouch for Av's exploits...

Yes, I think Watchers do come to this site...

um...first of all, let's address a few simple facts.

most of what we talk about is useless to "big brother" unless he just needs to know whether certain steam tunnels in montana are operational. and since 9/11, i bet they already know. for the purposes of "national security" should the president ever be within 150 miles of them. (ahem)

next...someone monitoring the forums for information, isn't that far off base. i'm doing it. i have other friends on here doing it. if someone knows how to pick a lock in less than 3 seconds using a g-string and a piece of celery, for example...i wanna know it. and so do the actual operators whose lives and jobs depend on this knowledge. and believe it or not...we, as people who post interesting tidbits of information are a form a "free" labor for the government R$D people. if we need something to scale a 25 foot sheer wall...we'll find it, or make it. then post it for all to see. if it's workable, and feasible, someone far more important than us will research it further. if someone for the government is watching these forums, that is.

uer, doesn't seem mainstream to me, in the way, that i don't see huge allocations of government funds being stashed for the people who review this site. i do believe, that some lowly analyst in the cia, or nsa who used to trespass in high school probably checks in here every once in a while. completely harmlessly, though. if something screams at him...i'm sure he'll notify the supervisors.. but he/she isn't hunting.

i, for example, work for nuclear security. i'm a civilian. i make it my business to know what people like us can do. if someone has figured out how to defeat top-notch security systems, i'd like to take that info to my bosses, and fix ourselves. and then, in my own little way...test the ideas on some other location. hehehe. (evil grin) i'm a patriot, with a wild streak. to me the best defense, is a covert offense. but that's me. i'm an alpha male.

My guess is that their in no conspiracy to crack down on UE because it just doesn't constitute a threat to society in anyway. Law Enforcement has more important things to do. As for the idea of law enforcement accessing this site to see if there are any potential security threats? Law Enforcement is simply not that creative. The info here is of minimal value because they already know about it. For example, the french sealed up the entraces to the paris underground because of a potential terrorst threat.

I could see property owners and companies inadvertantly stumbling upon info about their interests on this site due to google searches etc.

Also, if enough people know about a aite to where it is posted on here and even more people access that site, then it is reasonable that an owner would start to realize that they might have an liabilty issue and take corrective action.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too!

Most of the sites are being taken down, and secured because of Bush and the Patriot Act. One of the ways they apparently fight terrorist is to board up buildings in places. Property owners can be fined by the government for not going along with the laws. Property owners are in it for the value of the property, or liability. They don’t really care what is going on, on the web unless it helps them make or save money. Truth of the mater is no one really cares. UNLESS YOU’RE A TOURIST, I MEAN TERRORIST.

LOL. I was just reading this post. I've had the same problem for about two years. My friends and I call them "watchers", but no one can compare to "the watcher". A small arab man that has no job and all he does is stick by his window all day...The worst was when he caught us, cornered us in the basement steps of a house being built and called the police on us. I fled as soon as they arrived I crawled under the fence up some roof. All over the place from roof to roof ending with me jumping from a two story garage roof over a fence cutting myself in the process with triple bladed razor wire.

Why would you say that? I don't see any one on this board who suffers from paranoia, violent mood swings, or other anti-social behavior, oh wait, shit, never mind....

I know that feeling...

You know, some sites have been harder to get into, but I think it's more because the property owner realized that it was real easy to get into becaue either taggers got it or they were just doing a semi-routine check. I doubt someone actually watches these bards with the intent of making sure we can't get into their one building.

THE ABOVE WAS NOT EDDITED FOR SPELLING OF GRAMICAL ERRORS

I have an awesome collection of human bones, including a skull, they're all in pretty good condition, too. Nobody's ever said anything to me about not being allowed to keep them. They'd have a hard time getting them from me too, since they're inside my body.
