Dealing with potential legal trouble

Hey I have been thinking about putting up an infiltration site of my own for a long time and I was just about to start work on it when I read about WRabbit and Digital Mike. I am what I would consider Legally Competent(not a lawyer(yet ), not an Idiot) And I understand that they couldn’t win in court if I’m careful and believe me I'm more than willing to fight a case if it came up but my parents would be PISSED if they got a call from some PI(they don’t even know I explore). So What are the chances that this will happen, how many people has it happened to, whats the worst case senario, how do I avoid it, what do I do if it does happen, where do I go for more information? I already thought about going to the law library but the last time I was there the asshole guy who hates me and will never help me was there(I am far to young to care about my rights, you understand not being a citizen yet OH WAIT, dumbass). So encourage me, talk me out of it, or just rant. Thanks.

P.S. I am in the US

Mod edit: changed title to be more descriptive, and moved to useful info section.

If you love UE-ing and consider it a major part of your life then use UE ethics, be careful to conceal pertinent info about yourself and most of all HAVE FUN. You're more likely to get caught in the act than get your website screwed.

I hate all of you

If you didn't bring back any pictures with you then you obviously weren't there!

Start with protecting your website. Register the domain with somebody who does anonymous registrations, like GoDaddy. No sense in protecting your pictures if all I have to do is do a WHOIS lookup on you.

Then, make sure your hosting company won't easily spill the beans. All of them will bow to a court order, but make sure they won't divulge your identity on anything less, e.g. a PI calls and uses a pretext to get your identity. I tested my host with a simple email. I pretended to be a high school buddy looking for a friend and asked them for the website owner's email. They didn't give it out.

You'll want to be up on Michigan Compiled Law, so you can cite specific statutes that apply to your activities. I've done this with the State of Ohio, at this place.
