Abandoned Middle School...Indiana < on 2/7/2014 4:14 AM >
What is it like seeing a place one remembers fondly falling to ruins? This middle school was a prominent middle school in the community and now it sits abandoned. Very sad, but this is one of my favorite schools that I have explored. I will go again. 1.
Brother and I got busted here last March before we could even get in, someone in the neighborhood was watching us - cop was cool, though and gave us an escort to Miller Beach. "Good news is, the lab boys say the symptoms of asbestos poisoning show a median latency of forty-four point six years, so if you're thirty or older, you're laughing. Worst case scenario, you miss out on a few rounds of canasta, plus you forwarded the cause of science by three centuries. I punch those numbers into my calculator, it makes a happy face."
^have you seen the condition of the school? Go for it, there's nothing left to trash or protect.
There has also recently been a fire here so the school has been resealed. The neighborhood is very vigilant as well. I went here last summer but didn't end up getting to see much of it. We ran into scrappers (as if there's anything left to steal there) and decided to go elsewhere. I went back with Therrin maybe a month or so ago and we parked on a residential street near the school and a woman stood in front of her house starring at us in my car. We sat there for about 5-10 min looking at my phone pretending we were trying to look up directions or something and she just stood there and watched us so we decided to go to another location instead.
Good to see these pictures and find out I didn't miss out on too much.
I love the pictures, especially the ones looking down hallways. Also, the exterior shots look really cool. I wash my school was "The Blazers", 420 blaze it! haha Documenting the Dilapidated https://www.facebo...tingTheDilapidated
