It was in operation from July 4th, 1971 until 1973. It included a 1/4 mile drag strip and a 1/3 mile oval with a figure 8. Construction on a larger oval track had begun, but the raceway closed down before anything more than bulldozing the basic layout could be accomplished. The larger oval was being made with hopes of bringing NASCAR stock cars and truck races to the track. Little remains now other than the grandstands and crumbling concrete race tracks.
