Bombs away

So this small two story was one that housed a few alcoholics and/or druggies + a guy who made a bomb threat on a building on KU campus. Im assuming after he was arrested, this house quickly went down the drains as far as being taken care of. Plus, it's possible the other people were arrested for drug charges, since there is evidence of cocaine usage throughout the house.

Unless you are looking for this property, its otherwise nearly impossible to spot due to where it rests. It was nothing special, but rather one of those houses where it more appealing to look at all the "stuff" instead of its great appearance. I liked this house just because there was a plethora of old items, including: opened/unopened alcohol bottles, vhs tapes, old tv's, clothing, old tools, magazines, letters, books, appliances..ect. All was at least 10+ years old.

The most memorable experience was when i decided to open a refrigerator. My friend and i were instantly hit in the face with a cloud of toxic fumes. To describe the smell, imagine mixing 10year old rotten food + mice turds + dead animals + manure, all together; that is what it smelled like. So after instantly exhaling to the farthest possible extent, I went to a nearby window and gladly inhaled fresh air. Never got sick. So the moral of that story is to not open refrigerators at abandoned houses, lol.

Aesop's Fable's doesn't seem to fit the history of that house. Must have been a fake cover for a porn tape.

Maybe they had kids? Or maybe they enjoyed watching it while the crack affected the brain

How bout that bottle of jac for $4.99 haha. In this present time, $4.99 would get you probably 1/4 of that bottle

was it necessary to blur the date on the newspaper? i kinda wanted to see when it was from...isn't that the whole point of taking a photo of a newspaper?

with the mention of columbine i can guess that it was published in 1999 perhaps

yes and no. Didnt really want to make all the details visible b/c it was a public post and everyone can see the address. But yes you are correct on the year

At the same time though, a part of me didnt give a crap if vandals and graffiti artist when there lol...

and i highly doubt you could find the original paper anyway. I checked all of kutztowns online newspapers, and there's not a trace of this particular issue. Not that it matters to me, but i just dont want to lead people to its location that simply.

It was actually pretty ignorant to be honest. I saw the signs of drug usage as well as the alcohol everywhere + knives & a wooden "bat" with duct tape around it (clearly used for a club). It only occurred to me when i was on the second level (where i found and read the newspaper article), that there could actually be some pretty nasty people still on the property.

This guy here >> http://www.amazon...._i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 actually is one of the most awesome things i have ever purchased. Its considered a less lethal (the stun part) but obviously its lethal if you use the spikes to a skull. You might as well be carrying a small lightning bolt around :p

Wow, that house is OLD! You don't normally see fireplaces with bread oven's built into the side on houses after the middle 1800's.

I was more creeped out by the spider to the left of the toothpaste tube than the condition of the house. :p

Thats awesome...didnt even realize that!

and no thats no creepy. THIS is: Ok so in the pics you cant see it, but in the kitchen to the far right, there is a cabinet/closet door slightly opened. Dangling from the inside of the closet is a bulb. Not just any old dusty bulb....but rather, an old dusty bulb, that was freaking lit up! Id say it was at about 4-5watts. Keep in mind there is no electricity due to the fact the house has been unoccupied for over 15years. But when i opened the closet (keep in mind, the house is relatively dark atm) and saw that, i had a mini heart attack haha. It was extremely creepy imo

Wonder why all the cupboards and drawers are open. If somebody was ransacking the place or taking shit, why not take the unopened booze? Or the Aesop's Fables VHS?

Remember, just because a house is unoccupied doesn't mean that there's no power.

I was in a house where the first two bottom floors had every window busted out and garbage bags filling the floors to waist height. 3rd floor? Someone had somehow patched a heavy duty extension cord into a nearby utility pole to give the house power, and had turned the gas back on. I had walked into through the door to be greeted by lights on overhead, all four burners on the stove turned on high, and the sounds of judge judy playing in a far room. THAT was creepy as fuck!
