Not saying you need to bring it up in the forums but maybe he is throwing a card to get us off his trail? Maybe he is being correct and giving his location? According to the public record he is still "on the run." The least this community can do is alert the authorities.

Due process does NOT include violating bail.
I don't think anyone is suggesting any sort of vigilante justice. The man it's a fugitive changed with a serious crime and needs to appear before the court. There is a warrant for his arrest. If anyone knows anything about his whereabouts they have a duty to inform the appropriate authorities-- THAT is due process and a respect for the law.

That is extremely well put and the exact point -I believe- this thread was intended to make. Guilty or not if any one of us can help bring this to a conclusion, then it is our duty to. If he is turned in and innocent, then guess what... He will be found innocent and his sentence lowered much more than that if he were to be on the run for another year. If he is guilty then you played a part in getting a child molester off the streets. No matter what the end result is, it is both the right thing to do and will be a benefit to everyone involved.

If you're stopped while trespassing and your buddy has a warrant, everyone will likely be treated with more suspicion. If you have a passenger in your car or a guest at your home with a warrant, suddenly you're harboring/aiding a fugitive.
There's similar issues with drugs/weapons, people have been treated more harshly over what their friends had in their pockets.
Also the same issues with minors. If you get busted in a large group and someone is under 18, suddenly everyone is contributing to delinquency. If someone has alcohol or drugs, they're providing to a minor.
The charges may not stick, but they're a hell of a lot more hassle than a simple warning or trespassing ticket. Guilty or not, it's good to be informed about what's going on with a potential exploring partner, so you can make an informed decision about where to go and what to do with that person.
Turn off the internet and go play outside.
