|  | | | Kansas City explorer iFUBAR (http://www.uer.ca/...d=1&posterid=36231) skipped bail this morning. He is charged in Johnson County, KS with aggravated indecent liberties with a child. He sexually molested the 13 year old daughter of two other Kansas City explorers. He may be looking to stay with explorers.
If he contacts you or you learn anything about his whereabouts, please contact the Johnson County Sheriff at 913-782-0720

Also, since people are known here by their UER handles, warning people about "iFUBAR" is appropriate. People he is reaching out to will either be contacted by "iFUBAR", or those who already know him will know him by both UER nick and real name. " ******* ******* " will not be contacting anyone through UER, so propagating his real name serves no purpose other than to deprive him of privacy for a crime that he has only been accused of.
I mean, what if it's determined later on that he's innocent of the charges?
Yes, it's a heinous crime... but we have a responsibility to act reasonably, and not let the passionate rush to judgement do things that we can't justify with reason and might later regret.

It is agreed that the warning against "iFUBAR" as being a fugitive of these charges was very necessary. The OP's wording is problematic, and I did my part to speak out against the premature judgement.
The biggest problem I'm having with this is when people run with this rush to judgement... and sure enough two-posts-down "iFUBAR"s legal name (which in my prior post explained why it wasn't relevant given how this community operates) is revealed to all.
I mean, correct me if I'm wrong... but people here do value (to varying extents) their privacy and separation of their legal identity from this hobby we all share.
If sharing "iFUBAR"s legal identity is irrelevant in terms of containing the contacts and avenues of escape he has here, what is our justification for suddenly depriving him of this? Again, he might be innocent.
Circumstance #1: Actually Guilty
Get the word out about his nick: helped contain his contacts and avenues of flight. Good job, UER.
Reveal his legal identity: Moot.
Circumstance #2: Actually Innocent
Get the word out about his nick: helped contain his contacts and avenues of flight. His nick might be stigmatized with the charges for awhile, but nothing permanent.

I cant tell you how many UER members I am friends with on FB that I cant put a name to an avatar. If I were have gotten a message from this guy asking to hang out I would have no idea about his charges if it werent for this post.

This will be my last about this subject for the same reason.
I see your point, but I do not share it. I can see that might be the case for some. But personally, I can associate the real names and the UER nicks of all my friends. How one sees this is going to be up to what you believe to be the norm of UER relationships. And even assuming reality falls in your favor... can you justify the incremental improvement in possibly containing his flight against the loss of privacy for a charge that may or may not hold?

Of course. Although i'm sure this is not the case, it could have happened accidentally. I once found out i had a warrant out for my arrest for a couple weeks, without ever knowing about it. That sort of thing happens.
He could show up tomorrow. "Oops, i forgot." Probably not the case, of course.

I would assume innocence, but forgetting a court date or skipping out only makes his case that much more difficult to defend. Urinating in public is one - having sex with children is another. Not showing up is practically a presumption of guilt.
At the least, I would hope he would have the courage to defend himself in court - right or wrong.

I'm sorry, but this is someone who is accused of molesting a CHILD. He posted bond on a $75000 original charge just last week, has two felony drug charges, one dui, and is being sued by the state of Kansas for unemployment fraud JUMPED SHIP ON A COURT APPEARANCE.
If hes innocent of this one little charge of touching a CHILD, then why not prove this family wrong.
Defend him if you want, I am going to be with the rest of my local explorers keeping an eye out for him.
