Honeymoon/love resort

This place was pretty freakin awesome! Not too much graffiti and vandalism (on the nicer buildings) but the insides are all stripped of the copper. This resort has buildings with beautiful architecture; both inside and out. It also has a stunning landscape, as well as simple cabins up in the woods.

I remember when they used to advertise this place on TV. Back then, before I-80 was built, it was an ORDEAL to get to the Poconos from NYC. Hours of driving on US 46.

Now the Poconos are a commuter community for NYC.

I love the cabin in #2. So much so that I modeled them into my Minecraft world. :p

Thanks for the photos, I love seeing pics of this place.

Bizarre that people like this place. I was here twice. And hated it both times. It's trashed and horrendously ugly. But to each his own I guess.

I find it bizarre that you find this place "horrendously ugly".....but as you said....to each their own.
It does look like a fun little explore.

I've seen many different sets and different peoples take on this place,
but unfortunately haven't had the opportunity to head there myself.
Some sets make it look like it's not worth it............this is not one of those sets.

You have some great pics here. Some of your outside shots are absolutely beautiful with the slight snow fall.

"Are you happy now with all the choices you've made?" "Are there times in life when you know you should've stayed?"
"Will you compromise and then realize the price is too much to pay?" "Winners and losers... which one will you be today?"

haha, It's pronounced dool-rowz-nare-kah :p

Actually though, if you stare at it long enough, you'd be surprised how your linguistic abilities will help decipher its meaning

My linguistic abilities are non-existent and all I got was crossed eyes and the urge to get another IPA from the fridge.
"Dool rowz nare kah" is the spluttering noise I make when I get a mouthful of bongwater from being a little too ambitious when it comes my way.
That's all I got.
