Evolving Emotions at Former Migrant Worker House

These shots are from an unplanned stop at at an abandoned house in the middle of the Fruit Belt. Information in photos not included here show that the house was last offered as shelter for annual fruit pickers working in the area.

Obviously access here is not an issue. Although most of the interior contents of the house have been removed, there was enough here to experience a weird set of feelings. See what you think.

A Feeling of Sentimentality....
In an upstairs bedroom, someone has left a fairly recent sign of visiting. Is it just random? Did someone breathe their last right here?

A Feeling of Foreboding....
Inside a side-room, one can find a message hidden away in the dark at the back of a closet. Most likely someone's practical joke, but uneasy just the same.

A Feeling of Puzzlement....
In the basement, chairs have been arranged in a circle. Who was the last group that met here? Migrant workers trading stories over lunch in the shade? Local youth smoking up? Vineland witches having a midnight seance?

A Feeling of Anger....
Self explanatory from here down. "They" have been here. And they haven't left much up to the imagination in terms of destruction.

Nice set. Those migrant houses are all over the place down there...my pop lives in the hood and I often walk the dog through the orchards and down the side streets.

Is #9 an artist's rendition of the Pope Mobile?

That somewhat dry basement in #10 didn't last very long.

The cellar entrance wasn't smashed in when I went, could be a contributing factor...
