It's a mural in the lobby of an african American college. It's just creepy.

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.

Why is it creepy for a traditionally black college to have a mural with hooded klan members on it? Last time I checked, that's a relevant piece of history for a college which is comprised entirely of black people. Would it be strange for a Native american college to have a mural with a small portion depicting a battle between native Americans and settlers? Or for a Jewish institution to have a portion which depicted the holocaust? Not to mention, if it's the college i think it is, it was the first educational institution in the state with sole African-American patronage. It focused on enrolling students from poor backgrounds, and many of which went back to their communities to become teachers. The college is founded completely "for the moral, spiritual, and intellectual growth of Negro boys and girls". It would stand to reason, that the persecution and the eventual battle for civil rights would be paramount for accomplishing this goal.

Because on first sight they looked like rapist wizards, with a revolver. Especially when your first glance is through a glass pane that hasn't been cleaned in at least a decade.

Just saying, if I was jewish I don't think I'd be to excited if their was pictures of Nazi's on my schools mural. I do see where you are coming from though, the klan is a relevant part of African-American culture, but I think it'd be better to just leave it in the books and curriculum and off the walls.
