American Urbex... yeah. That was me.

| | | Despite the inclement weather another forum contributor and I headed up to what has been affectionately referred to as the "Playground." Our tour guide gave us the confidence to approach even as demolition crews were tearing down one of the structures. It was a great explore, one that won't be around for much longer.
As much as I wanted to compose a decent shot with my DSLR, there were too many eyes that could have seen us. This crew also eating away at the building and shaking it.

| | | You know if they're working on an off day they are trying to play catch up. It does sound like it won't be around much longer. Your pics are great, thanks for sharing them! [last edit 12/9/2013 8:11 PM by Benched_it - edited 1 times]

| | | Nice! I never tire of images from here. #1 is spot on. It still surprises me how, at one time, the place was an enormous maze. It could easily take all day getting from one side to the other. More?

| | | Lovely shots. I've been looking forward to seeing your vision of this amazing place. Hope you guys had a fun day! I am sad to see it coming down so quickly. Thanks to Pressingleap and Hootie for making the effort to help more people get to admire this spot before it's gone.

Jesus! It surprises me to see how much of this place is just GONE. Love #5. That big room with the skylight is probably my favorite part of what's left.

| | | 1. yours reminded me of this one from not too long ago. The first week back to work in Aug. All of this is gone except the stacks.
