Get a load of this hilarious fearmongering. You'd think we were getting loaded out on jenkem and then going out to play the knockout game.

That fear that I have of slipping off the side of a tall building? It keeps me off the Darwin Awards website.

Not sure if it's been happening over there, but here in Korea rooftopping has become a big trend independent of UE.

I showed up at a rooftopping meetup and at some point brought up my urban exploring experience, and they were all pretty taken aback by all the "illegal" stuff I'd done. Though their pictures aren't quite as cool as what we're used to.

Telling parents to warn their kids about the dangers of rooftopping is pretty fucking idiotic.
Parent: "You are never allowed to go rooftopping!"
Child: "Why not?!"
Parent: "You could fall!"
Child: "Oh my god! I never would've known unless you told me!"

Also I don't see this as anything that could be come a serious trend amongst teenagers as it's too difficult and too dangerous, plus it requires too much effort, especially when you consider that not most teenagers are able to go into cities on their own to do this.

Exactly, Also - Danger attracts young people. Telling teens its dangerous is like telling seniors theres all you can eat Fish'nChips.

I love these comments!

let Natural selection take its toll ... if they are dumb enough to do it why stop them .. I just feel for the emergency services scrapping these cretins off the floor.

Its just helping rid society of the idiot members of the population... They are not 'my' kids.

Good , means natural selection is taking care of the tards in the world

Pity their parents, fools and their lives are soon parted.

Chlorinating the gene pool. If they're that bloody stupid, let them cark it!

No pity for kids who have nothing else better to do than act like idiots.

great idea...help keep the population in check!

Definitely generation stupid!

So it all comes down to, most people reading this article think this is new and hasnt been going on since the early 70s, and that everyone who does it deserves to die
great

Apparently that DID just happen. And I AM proud of it

Thats what I'm getting out of them, my friends and climbed a ton of buildings back in high school and not one of us ever got hurt or in trouble doing it. In the scheme of things there are plenty of riskier (and more common) stuff teenagers do.

I think people who write fear mongering articles are probably those high school kids that spread rumors and act like dicks and once they finish school aren't smart enough to do anything that actually contributes to anything.

Weird. Here are two more:

http://www.courier...srf2-1226770787401

http://www.courier...ep26-1226058855989

And note the date on the latter one: it's over two years old, and also runs with the same "Move over planking, here's rooftopping" angle. Someone at the Courier Mail really is idiotic.
