Ever go through your images and you're like, "I think I'm taking too many of the same damn pictures."? Yeah. I felt that. WINDOWS! 1. 2. 3. As in most places like this, people believe it is haunted. I don’t believe in ghosts, so…I ain’t afraid of no ghosts. One of them is “Lilly”, who was a child who grew up on the premises of the asylum. The weird thing is people will bring toys into the children’s room as gifts for Lilly. Yeah... 4. STAIRS! 5. 6. 7. I love the ironwork detail of these stairs. STAIRS WITH WINDOWS! 8. 9. HALLS AND OPEN DOORS! 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. PLUMBING FIXTURES! 15. 16. 17. 18. 19. 20. 21. 22. 23. RANDOM SHIT! 24. 25. 26. Sometimes you have to remember to look up, just keep your mouth close so you don't accidentally eat a lead chip. 27. The crematorium. 28. 29. 30. 31. One of the few pics I actually took outside. 32. Like I said on the other TALA thread, from the website, it appears that they've cut back on the number of buildings that they let the photography tours into to the Kirkbride, Med Center, and the Geriatric building. From your pics, it looks like you got into the Kirkbride, the Med Center, the Geriatric building (that's where the Otis elevator can is, right?) and the Women's Auxiliary (along with a side trip to the greenhouse). So where are they letting the photo tours go these days? Or did you arrange a separate tour outside of the regular photo tours? Punchy and Lonewolf: Yes - private, not one of the regular photo tours. I'm not great at dealing with a set schedule and a bevy of photogs wandering around. Buildings were the Kirkbride Building, Medical Center, Forensics, Geriatrics (yes there's an Otis elevator), Women's Auxiliary and the greenhouse.
