Here are some photos from the TXU North Main Power Plant. It's pretty difficult to get into, with lots of climbing involved. I managed to get in once back in May, and again a few weeks ago. The place is over 100 years old, and is pretty extensive. There used to be some smaller surrounding structures including extremely tall smokestacks, but those were demolished during 2005.

There were plenty of subterranean areas as well, but the poor lighting made it difficult to take photos.

Nice set. Thanks for posting. I'm guess all the equipment has been removed, by looking at the photos?

nice!

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.

everything has been removed other than that "reddy killowatt" or whatever they called it back in the day. the place is a shell but a great space for spinning wool. and if you had to climb to get in then you were doing it the wrong way my man. there is a MUCH easier way in. one that requires placing one foot in front of the other. i never understand why anyone says they had to climb something to get in. not the case. anyway - enjoy it while you can. the fence is already up around it now - they are building a new main street bridge and likely as not, this place is coming down all in the name of progress.
